Set in the foothills of the eastern Serra de Tramuntana the picturesque background adds to the appearance of an already attractive town full of abundant rural character. The population is just under 2000.
The town luckily still remains overlooked by the major tour companies.
Basing yourself here guarantees perfect access to the rugged Tramuntana as well as peace and quiet. The beaches of Port Alcudia and Port Pollenca are half an hour away by car and the airport is 40 minutes drive, via Inca.
There is a lot of history in the town, for example the town church dates back to 1248. Regular local fiestas keep some of the history alive and allow visitors an insight into the past.
