Alcudia Almond Route

Alcudia Almond Route

Alcudia - Can Picafort - Sa Pobla - Buger - Campanet - Moscari - Selva - Caimari - Col de Sa Batalla - Lluc - Col de Femenia - Pollenca - Cala San Vicente - Port Pollenca - Alcudia

Flat start as the route goes through Port Alcudia and the edge of Can Picafort, through the farmlands of Sa Pobla, then a short sharp climb to the centre of Buger.

During the spring, almond blossom is to be found around most of these villages. Quite beautiful and with the orange blossom adds an impressive scent to the ride that is not soon forgotten.

Down into Camapanet then across to Moscari and Selva. Up through Caimari onto the fantastic Col de Sa Batalla. Stop at the café at the top for refreshments, including a slice of arguably the best almond cake around, before turning right and flying down into Pollenca via the Col de Femenia and its F1 grade tarmac where your speed will be proportional to your skill and courage!

Into Pollenca by which time your average speed is back up, left onto the out and back section to Cala Sant Vicente.

It may be rude not to have another stop near the sea at either of the scenic bays - Cala Clara boasts 2 very decent cafés. Then, back onto the road which takes you towards Port Pollenca, turning right onto the beach front road and back to Alcudia.
