Traffic free tranquility. In Palma!
The Military Climb, or the Coll de sa Creu to give it it’s proper name, is a 5.5km climb that goes over a ridge just a few kms North West of Palma. The whole col has recently been treated to a luscious thick of coat of the best tarmac going and is now super smooth.
a chance to refuel and a WC that flushes not rustles
A highlight of any ride, and I think not just for me is the coffee stop / café stop. A chance to refuel with something nice to eat and drink, and a WC that flushes rather than rustles. These are my favourite places to stop in and around Port Pollenca. More areas to follow.
the bike rental outlets recommended by users
Initial results are in - thank you to the 673 voters who have made the effort as at 23/03/15. If you are the owner of a bike rental outlet in Mallorca, the way to make the list is to offer great service that has people coming back and recommending you.
Sa Tafona, combination restaurant and olive oil farm
It used to be that my favorite almond cake was found in old town Pollenca. A welcome treat and additional energy for pressing on deeper into the mountains or speeding home down the F1 grade surface of Coll de Femenia.
Not any more.
why be satisfied with just Cap Formentor?
Cap Formentor is an amazing route. Certainly one of the best in the world now it has it's new smooooth surface. It is often ridden by cyclists staying in Port Pollenca as their first ride upon arriving or last ride before leaving.
